she greeted the patron. "My name's Reggie and I'll be your server today. Do you know what you want yet?" Being a waitress was not what she wanted to be when she grew up, but it was some kind of income. She needed money to help her support her real dream: to become an actress. tag; tristancount; 255note; hi [/ul][/blockquote]

Tristan sat down at the table and thought that it was quite quiet without his little girl around. He had recently sent Emma away to Paris to live his Aunt Haley and his new uncle, Alexandre. Tristan had stepped down as mayor of Secaucus to protect himself and his family from the gang violence in the small city in New Jersey. Tristan opened the menu that the hostess had given him and saw exactly what Emma would order. For a small little girl, she had a big appetite . Emma would have ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with extra bacon, curly fries and a chocolate milkshake. In honor of his favorite little girl, he was going to order exactly that.
When his waitress came around, Tristan was ready. “Hi Reggie, Could I get a Bacon Cheese Burger with extra bacon, curly fries and a chocolate milkshake please?” he said putting down his menu.
As soon as she left, he began thinking about past events. When he had moved here, he had his daughter and his girlfriend. Erin had left him right after he had stepped down from being mayor and moved back to Hampshire Hills to work for the Mayor there. She had her own political aspirations and didn’t want to date some washed out mayor/lawyer. Tristan needed a date to get his mind off everything that was going on in his life.

she said as she took the menu from the man and turned away. After placing the order with the kitchen, she took another bite of her lunch before being called to do another table. By the time she placed that order in the kitchen, the milkshake was done. The burger would be a few more minutes. Reggie took the milkshake and a straw and brought it over to the man. "Here's your milkshake. You're burger and fries are going to take a few more minutes." It was only then did she take a proper look at the guy. He was actually kind of cute. But, then again, he wasn't the only guy that came in here that was cute. There were plenty of cute guys that came in the diner. A few lucky ones were able to get her number, but nothing ever seemed to come from that. She figured it was all part of being a waitress. If you flirt a bit, especially with older guys, she would receive a bigger tip. And, right now, she needed all the money she could get. [/ul][/blockquote]

Tristan thanked her for his milkshake and put the straw in. He then got a look at his waitress. She was young and attractive. Someone that Tristan could possibly date now or in the future.
Back in his college days before he met Suzie and had Emma, Tristan was quite a playboy. Some even called him a “man-whore”. He didn’t give a shit about anything except who was hanging off his arm and who was in his bed. Things changed quite a bit for him. He was no longer the playboy he once was but Tristan was still young, better looking than he was before and he had loads of money. He was someone’s Mr. Right.
Tristan thought long and hard about asking Reggie, the waitress out. He thought about the possibility of being shot down and the possibility of her standing him up. Tristan shook the negative ideas right out of his head. “You are Tristan McCoy; you are a ladies’ man. Grow up and just ask her out to dinner or a movie. Stop being such a wimp and stop thinking about the negative” he said to himself in a quiet voice so no one else could hear him.
As soon as Reggie returned with his Bacon cheese burger with extra bacon and his curly fries, he smiled at her. “Thank you” he said as she placed the plate in front of him. “So Reggie how old are you?” he asked, picking up a fry and eating it.

she answered with a grin. "Why? How old do you think I am?" Reggie knew she should take it as a compliment that she looked younger but it could be a hassle when she went out to bars and such. Reggie waited for his guess but saw her other table flagging her down. She put up a finger to the man that asked for her age. Before she could flirt, she must do some work. "B-R-B," she said before dashing off. Yes, she was the type of person that actually used chat speak in her normal everyday conversation. It may not be proper but she didn't care. She basically grew up with technology. There's nothing wrong with meshing two worlds as one. The other table only wanted a refill. So Reggie went and did that for them quickly before returning to the first table. "So have you figued out how old I am?" She leaned against the chair across from the man. [/ul][/blockquote]

Tristan watched Reggie walk away. She had an amazing figure and she was beautiful. He started guessing her age. She was over 18 and he was guessing she was 21 or 22 years old.
Tristan grinned at Reggie when she came back “I think you’re 22; just old enough to get a drink with me sometime this week.” He said smoothly. In his head Tristan was criticizing himself for using such a corny line on a pretty girl. But the last time he was single and had nothing to worry about was when he his freshman and sophomore years in College. He got married when he was a junior and had Emma when he was a senior.
“So what do you think about going to for a drink with me?” Tristan asked “I hope I’m not too old for you. I mean I am 28.” He thought that if she wasn’t interested in him before she would be now. He was still young-ish “If you’re interested I can give you my number?” he said to Reggie “And if you’re not, I am a VERY good lawyer if I do say so myself; never lost a case in my short life.”
